Project Procurement Management

Few projects are carried out entirely by the personnel of a single organization.  Procurement is the process of integrating the efforts of personnel from other organizations in the progress of projects.  This seminar will deal with three approaches to procurement: classical project procurement management, network project procurement management, and mass customization project procurement management.  The seminar objectives are as follows:

 Classical project procurement management

         Learn the six processes of classical project procurement management.

         Understand the application of project procurement to project risk management

         Understand the requirements for forming a valid contract

         Understand contract types and their relationship to risk

 

Network project procurement management

         Learn the four processes of network project procurement management.

         Understand the role of core competencies and core constraints in building networks

         Understand the structural implementation of networks

         Understand the implementation of risk management in the network

 

Mass customization project procurement management

         Learn the six competencies of mass customization

         Understand the role an automated supplier interface in mass customization

         Understand the role of process organization in mass customization

         Understand the role of multi-project management in mass customization
